Week 10 B: Evaluation and Audit

I recently sat down with my classmate Jacob and I asked him a few questions about my blog and how to make it better. Here is what I recorded.

1: What were your first impressions of this blog? “Your blog was very futuristic”.

2: What captured your attention? “The picture of the videogame Titanfall was
awesome”!

3: What distracted you on the blog? “Nothing, it was very well put together”.

4: What suggestions can you give me to improve my blog? “Keep making high quality blog posts like you are doing and you will be fine”.

Week 10: B

I have written thirteen posts since March. Ten of them were set by the challenge and three were personal interests. I received two comments from classmates. One classmate commented on “Beautiful Places Created by God” and another on “One of my Greatest Memories”. I think this happened because we had similar experiences and stories. I enjoyed writing “Technology” the most. It’s my favorite topic to write about and I love the topic. No I have not changed my blog theme because I like it simple and regular. It also makes it easy for people to navigate instead of being confused on where to go. I have 13 widgets. I think this is just enough to make my blog special and unique. I’ve had zero over see students on my blogroll.

Blog Nomination

I have read many great blogs from my classmates. The one that I thought was the best was Kaia Brahms. Her blog isn’t all that interesting or fancy, but it doesn’t need any of that. It’s like judging a book by its cover. You just don’t know how good her blog is until you actually read her posts. That is why it’s my favorite. She did a really great job and that’s why I’m nominating her. So go check out Kaia’s blog at http://kaiab7.edublogs.org P.S I also think Justin Bieber should be kicked out of our country!

Week 9 Some of Beautiful Places Created by God

This week I’m going to talk about visiting overseas. I have never visited overseas before, but I plan to in the future. There are so many beautiful places God has made.
One of the places I’m interested in is The Eiffel Tower in France. I’ve heard beautiful things about it. There’s something special about the 2681 steps to the top. So until then, Mama mia.
Another place I’m interested in is Japan. Many of my hobbies are deeply influenced by Japan from comics, to manga, to videogames. I am also interested in learning Japanese if I ever make it over there!
The third and final place I would like to visit is the Outback in Austraila. I would absolutely love to vist the out backs and go on a safari. While I’m there, it would be cool to visit some of the endangered species or even he’ll out a zoo.

Classrooms around the World in Pictures

I recently read the blog, Classrooms Around the World in Pictures. My favorite classroom was the School Colegio de Educación Público, Estados Unidos de América Huarte de San Juan, Madrid, Spain. I noticed a lot of good things about it. For instance, the school literacy was at 99.6 percent. All the students have a musical instrument in hand during the picture. This shows me that it must be a musical school. With two things I love, music and literature, make me want to attend this class! In the image of this class I get a vibe from the students that the class must be very strict because of their facial expressions. Now this is ok for me because sometimes strict is good. I enjoyed reading Classrooms Around the World in Pictures, it was very interesting learning about other schools and comparing them to O.L.G.

1:What time do you normally get up to go to school?
I normally get up for school around 6:45.

2:What do you normally have for breakfast, recess, lunch, tea (dinner, supper)?
My normal breakfast is oatmeal with a piece of fruit. For recess I have more fruit peanut butter pretzels. For lunch I have goldfish and a tuna sandwich. Mostly for supper I will have fish or chicken, it depends on what my mom and dad make, we eat a lot of different things for dinners.

3:How do you get to school?
My mom or dad wake me up at 6:45
4:How long does it take to get to or from school?
5:A typical lunch at school

Leaders

There are many opportunities for people to take on a role as a leader. You can even show these qualities at school. Im going to share some things I can do and strive to be a leader at my school!
Sometimes people are maybe not doing the right thing. For example there doing things like hanging out in the bathroom and not going to class, or talking loud in the hallways, or teasing someone. If someone is not doing the right thing I can encourage them to do the right thing, or what God would want them to do! If all of us show a little more of these qualities not just at school but in our daily lives, the world would be a whole lot better place and it starts with us.

Week 6: Guitar

One of my favorite hobbies is playing the guitar. I have been playing since November, and I love it. I have never in my life thought of playing a musical instrument! It shocks me that I just found out that I love playing guitar. The best part about playing guitar is learning new songs and performing them. It’s amazing how many ways someone can express themselves, and their emotions through music. One of my dreams is to play lead guitar in a band! I currently have an electric guitar, but in a week it’s my birthday and I hope to get an acoustic!
UPDATE: For my birthday I got a beautiful Seagull acoustic guitar!

My favorite thing in Catalina Island!

My favorite thing that we did in Catalina Islands was kayaking. My partner was Mathew T. Just
the whole experience was amazing. It was really funny because the whole time we were
kayaking Mr. Komarinski and Mr. Bressan were trying to tip our kayak over so we had a
mini war with them where Matthew would peddle and I would soak them with the ore. We also
did so e challenges! The first one was standing up and that didn’t go so well. Matthew just stood
up fast and caused our kayak to tip making us both fall in! The second was trying to switch
places while standing up and that didn’t go well either. Our whole trip was amazing and
this is just one of the awesome memories I had their!
